It is based on Raga Bhairavi
I feel Jaidev, though he was a genius was not consistent to his talent.
The composer of Hum Dono, Mujhe Jeene Do, Reshma Aur Shera, Aalap, Gaman and Ghoronda never showed same composing in other movies.
Yesudas was another talent wasted by Hindi cinema.
Only Ravindra Jain Used his voice to its full glory.
Salilda and Jaidev are the other composer who knew versatility of Yesudas…
Others just ignored him…..
Such a tragedy can only happen in Hindi Cinema Only

Today, I got opportunity to enjoy your two marvelous blogs. One of Phoolon ke rang Se and another about Mata Saraswati. I appreciate you have brilliantly analyzed about the ignorance of Yesudas in Hindi Cinema. And also you are 100% correct about Salilda and Ravindra Jain who only used more rendition of Yesu. Mainly all Rajeshri productions films were filled with RJ composition in which Yesudas rendered awesome songs in film like Sawan Ko Aane Do, Sunayna, Dulhan Wahi jo Piya Man Bhaye and of course amongst Chitchor remained the most immortal.
As per Salilda offers, I think Yesu was brilliant in his rendition in films like Choti Si Baat, Rajnigandha, Anand Mahal. You have brought relevant info with respect to golden era.. by introducing this awesome composition Mata Sarawasati Sharda brilliantly rendered by Yesudas in film Aaalap which is my one of the favorite movies. Specially I am lost in this very awesome number Koyee gata mein soo jata of yesu playbacked on our big B and another Chand akela jaye.
Hope someday we will have nice and long narration on Golden era.
